Job Opportunity: Academic Staff Member/Kaiako:HainesAttractJob description:Job DescriptionProfessional Development and Adult Learning teamAbout the function we At Presenthave a full-time permanent teaching position (37.5 hours per week) available within our Professional Development and Adult Learning team in the Centre for Education and Foundation Pathways, teaching on two of our programmes; Te Awa Koiora (Level 4); and the New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (NZCATT)5. Both programmes are co-facilitation functions, therefore having a proven history of this approach would be favourable. candidates need to be committed to working in partnership with stakeholders and community, including marae, hapu and iwi for the betterment of the region. The ATTP programme required a prosperous candidate who will be capable of working with tertiary teachers to develop their applied practice with a focus on building strategies and approaches that support diverse learners. The Te Awa Koiora programme requires Somebody with the flexibility to be able organise and attend Noho sessions, which are a requirement of the programme. Additionally, there may require some physical activity and travel to different locations within the Waikato region as required. In addition to facilitating on these two programmes this position includes an time allocation for the Programme Coordinator function of Te Awa Koiora. As such you would be responsible for coordination of the timetables, responsible for enrolments and advertising, external industry engagement, assessment and moderation processes and resulting Are you an ideal candidate? To be prosperous you will need the following: » A qualification in Adult Learning preferable Level 6 or higher. » Cultural competence in particular working with Maori and Pasifika » To be fluent in both spoken and written te reo Maori and tikanga Maori » To have expertise of the Waikato region practice in: » coordinating, planning, facilitating, and assessing adult/tertiary learning programmes » developing safe and inclusive classroom environments » engaging in and maintain authentic reciprocal relationships » function-modelling learner-centred facilitation » applying adult learning theory to practice » applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi values and principles in teaching practice.
