Senior Systems Engineer - Automation And GeneralistJob location:Wellington Wellington Central Work Type: Permanent » » » »$95k -125k income »Permanent functions »Friendly and collaborative team The function The purpose of both functions is to manage, maintain and develop the CSS platform (virtual and public cloud) to enable our agencies to meet their strategic priorities, supporting a State sector wide objective to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Government. tasks • Key function in the design and implementation of resilient, flexible and secure disaster recovery solutions for critical systems. • Varied workloads within this function ranging from Windows generalist to automation/infrastructure as code type function. • Contribute to design and architecture decisions to ensure best use of available technology. • Carry out systems management tasks including - Disaster Recovery & Risk Management, Problem Identification and Resolution, Software and Firmware Updates, Security Patches, Change Management, System Upgrades. Desired practice for Automation function • In-depth practice with Infrastructure as code, Azure, Office 365 services • practice managing and supporting Microsoft systems centre orchestrator • practice with SCCM and VMware Desired practice for Generalist function • In-depth practice with SCCM, SQL, Microsoft VPN services • practice managing and supporting Intune, iManage or similar document management systems, and Exchange. expertise & practice • A computer science or ICT related university degree or equivalent industry qualifications or practice. • expertise and practice with networking concepts, protocols and services. • Familiarity with setup, maintenance, and security of Windows/Linux operating systems & back-end applications • Hands-on development and systems integration expertise, practice with a wide variety of hardware and software platforms How to Apply?
