Your responsibility: Nurses in perioperative areas play a critical function in ensuring the patient receives safe and effective care before, during and after surgery. Responsibility includes assessments, medication administration, monitoring, assisting with procedures and providing education and support. About you: Have a positive “can do” attitude to their work and be a great team player. Excellent communication with great interpersonal expertise that can adapt to change within a developing service. practice within a perioperative environment, while not essential, would be an advantage. Must have: • Current Annual Practicing Certificate • At least one year’s recent medical/surgical practice as a New Zealand registered nurse or Nursing Council equivalent registered nurse OR • At least four years post registration surgical practice in an equivalent secondary care facility outside of New Zealand AND completion of the CAP training (Not appropriate for New Graduates) In order to be eligible for this position you must be located in New Zealand and hold a New Zealand registration.
