About our group and team
The Resourcing Group is responsible for delivering operational funding and staffing entitlements to nearly 2,500 schools. We administer annual payments of approximately $5.8 billion to Schools and Kura.
We provide high quality financial advice and support to Schools and Boards of Trustees. We ensure Schools and Early Childhood centres receive correct resourcing entitlements through our Monitoring programme. We provide resourcing operational policy advice and guidance and produce one-off solutions to resourcing issues. Our Resourcing Contact Centre also provides direct telephone and email support to Schools’, Early Childhood Centres and the general public.
About this function
The Resourcing Lead Advisor is responsible for supporting the implementation and facilitation of K?hui Ako across the country. They will manage and supervise the national processes and practices that support K?hui Ako. They will work in partnership with regional colleagues, schools/kura and early learning services to resolve issues and identify opportunities to improve results for K?hui Ako members.
The Lead Advisor will ensure that assigned programmes and initiatives are delivered to a consistently high standard and on time. They will also lead change through personal leadership abilities that influences and enthuses others through personal advocacy, vision an drive in collaboration with their colleagues.
About you
The Resourcing Lead Advisor will prepare high quality expert advice on strategic risks, issues and opportunities at the senior official level.
You will also provide guidance, support and improvements to ensure key pieces of work are delivered to a high standard.
You will also have the following expertise, attributes, and practice:
   » practice in leadership abilities and mentoring staff
   » Excellent communication and written expertise
   » practice working in a Government agency and a sound knowledge of the machinery of government, public sector delivery structures and systems

Your personal qualities will include taking pride in producing written work and other forms of communication of the highest quality every time and you will have the interpersonal expertise to relate well with all kinds of people.
