Job Opportunity: Student Communications Advisor:AUTJob description:Job DescriptionStudent Communications Advisor» Permanent, full time function» located in Auckland CBD » Great organisation with staff benefits » compensateing function directly benefitting students The function Within this function you’ll work to embed the use of te reo and tikanga M?ori in our approach to communicating with AUT students that contribute to AUT’s brand and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You will be a campaign manager and storyteller – to engage our student audience through creative campaigns to build a sense of pride with AUT and connection to the University and each other. What kind of person are we looking for A creative storyteller who empathises with the student practice and is passionate about community development and support. A communications professional with proven knowledge of channel strategies to help us embed and grow AUT’s comms channels strategy within the organisation. A team player who can work effectively with diverse stakeholders to identify gaps, problems, opportunities and propose creative solutions using an omnichannel approach in their campaign delivery. Skills and practice We are seeking for: » Minimum five years’ practice in writing and delivering content for a range of publications and platforms. » Proven practice in creating written and verbal communication materials in both English and te reo M?ori. » Proven practice in multi-channel campaign delivery using traditional and digital tactics to deliver community engagement » Proficiency in generating and reviewing te reo M?ori copy for multimedia content. » skills in translating between English and te reo M?ori. » Project management from project definition and planning through to project review » Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in a professional environment » knowledge of digital/online communication issues and trends » Demonstrable practice developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships » Knowledge and practice in the principles of equity and diversity » capability to manage multiple deadlines and escalate conflicting priorities » Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ref: 86427 Closing Date : 17 September2023, at 11:55pm *Full-time denotes 37.5 hours per week At AUT we strive to be a place where people love to work and learn.
