This dynamic function requires Somebody with excellent written communication expertise, demonstrated capability to deal with complexity, and a desire to get great results in capital investment to improve the well-being of New Zealanders. We are seeking for an energetic person who is seeking a challenge and opportunity to work across a range of organisations and stakeholders in health and central government. The Ministry of Health is the kaitiaki of the health and discapability system in New Zealand. We are responsible for providing active stewardship and leadership abilities across the nation's health and discapability system. We ensure the system provides people with the highest levels of care, regardless of who they are or where they live. The Health Infrastructure Unit has been established within the Ministry of Health to help support and guide health capital strategy and management over the next decade. Within the Health Infrastructure Unit, the Investment Strategy team has responsibility for review and support of District Health Board capital business cases and for planning and prioritising capital funding across the sector. Other exciting areas in the Health Infrastructure Unit have responsibility for service planning and asset management, as well as the delivery of some of the key capital redevelopments (including new hospitals) across the country. This is challenging and compensateing work to deliver important health infrastructure projects. Health infrastructure has a vital function in ensuring New Zealanders have access to high quality health services. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Senior Advisor to support key works streams relating to capital investment. This is a critical function to ensure that we are meeting our capital and infrastructure objectives and involves working across central agencies and District Health Boards.
