Lord of the rings country & on a live volcano. We are busy year-round with two distinct seasons of Summer for the Tongariro Crossing & hiking adventures and Winter for the ski season. We offer our guests a great base for all of their adventure needs. We require a great can do attitude & a fast & effective worker for our winter ski season starting in JUNE. Position Title Housekeeper Objective of position To ensure the housekeeping operation runs smoothly, efficiently & happily within set time limits and to set standards. Report to Head Housekeeper Responsible for Up keep of hotel interior cleanliness & tidiness, waiting tables Relationship with Head Housekeeper Owner tasks and responsibilities · Clean rooms and public areas in conformity with rosters and/or everyday objectives in a timely manner. · Ensure that all standards are met and that set procedures are followed. · Follow all health and safety processes and report any issues or possible hazards · Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner · Receive any customer requests or complaints and fulfil or pass on to management as appropriate. · Maintain absolute customer privacy and respect customer property. · Maintain an excellent relationship with the front office staff to ensure the procedures between the front office and housekeeping department achieve the desired result relating to guest room availcapability, guest lost property and any other matters. · Assist with other tasks as required. significant qualifications None required Personal attributes · Great interpersonal expertise · Proactive · Good personal hygiene · Able to work as part of a team · Honest, reliable & responsible Accomodation available offsite in staff house.
