Couple - 2 Farm adjuncts:Job description:Couple - 2 Farm adjunctsPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($22/hour + Neg on Exp)Job location: Temuka Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 05/05/2022 Couple required for 2 Dairy Farm Postitions 2 x Farm adjunct functions available on a 700 cow dairy farm near Temuka, Canterbury from Mid-June to Mid-November. 3 bedroom furnished on-farm house available. We may require this accomodation to be shared with another employee. You will both need to be physically fit, have a desire to work and lgain new expertise. Enjoyment of working with animals and working outside are also vital! A high standard of spoken English is required as is a Working Holiday or similar right to work Visa. These are seasonal, Fixed Term positions so we are not able to provide Work Visa's for the functions. Drivers Licenses are required for both functions. Motorbikes, farm utes and trailers will be used often. function 1 - Farm adjunct - Milking, feeding cows, setting up fences, cleaning, stockwork and general farm tasks - Fixed Term work available from mid-June to Mid-November function 2 - Farm adjunct/Calf Rearer - Main function is rearing, feeding and caring for calves - Preparing and transferring milk, grain, preparing and cleaning pens and equipment - other general farm tasks as required - less work available for this function from mid-june until early July, some general farm tasks available during this time as the cows are off-farm. Hours for this function will also taper off Early November as calves are weaned off milk.
