Background

Exceptional opportunity for an practiced Change and Communications Manager to provide change management, communications coaching and engagement advice and activities to support the transition of national programmes to 'BAU activity' within the organisations technology function.
This customer-centric organisation delivers ERP technology change to a national customer sector, through well structured and well-managed programmes of work. Now is the time for these projects/programmes to be transitioned into a shared services environment for BAU management. With positive changes within the organisation to align their structure with the future market and business needs, we require a Change/Communications Coach/Manager to work closely with the CIO and support a collaborative, sharp and focussed professional technology team.
The function
this function will report to the Programme Change Lead but work very closely with the CIO to coach/support the technology team and be a proactive and integral member of the organisational change management team. The primary focus will be to support and coordinate operational activities in change, communication, engagement with an emphasis on engaging with both internal and external stakeholders across New Zealand.
To be prosperous in this function you must have proven practice and capability to develop and execute change and communications plans, possess a high level of change leadership abilities and competency across a range of channels, verbal and interpersonal communication expertise, able to produce effective and concise change communication and engagement messages, and have worked in politically sensitive public sector environments.
Requirements
You will have a tertiary qualification in a significant field (HR, L&D, OD, Change Management), possess 8-10 years practice in Change/Communications/Project Management managing large Information technology or business transformation change and communications programmes in complex but preferably public environments. Possessing a strong business acumen, expertise and practice in change management best practices, along with superior influencing expertise, underpinned by outstanding interpersonal expertise.
There is the absolute need to be proactive and output/results-driven, with outstanding time management and professionalism, and able to engage with different levels in an organisation and sector and possess solid political savviness!
