The Lodge is unique in it's style and we pride ourselves on providing genuine and friendly Kiwi hospitality along with amazing food. We live in an extraordinary natural landscape with a large lake, mountains, river valleys and walking trails on our back door step so if you love the outdoors, this position could be for you. We are a medium to large family run business catering for groups, weddings, cyclists on the Alps2Ocean cycle trail and tours over summer. We are the Ohau family and we treat every guest as if they were a guest in our own home. We choose positive and happy people who will work as a team and who will go that extra distance, offering that personal touch to make our guests feel welcome. We have accommodation on site which is $110/week and we provide 3 meals a day for $90/week making a total of $200 which is deducted from your fortnightly wages. You will work mostly 5 days per week. The position is to start in November and you will mostly work in the restaurant as a waiter/waitress but on our Bar Manager's days off and on busy nights would work in the bar. As the waiter/waitress you will serve our guests breakfast, lunch and dinner, clear and wash dishes, clean and set tables in the restaurant. As the bartender, We are seeking for a responsible person with some bar practice who would welcome our guests, serve drinks and wine wait tables. At the end of the shift you will complete a reconciliation and clean down the bar and surrounding areas.
