About the service:
Our team located within Waikato Hospital are supported by modern, well-equipped histology and cytology laboratories with an enthusiastic and skilled scientific workforce. We have access to a wide variety of diagnostic stains and techniques. The Waikato Hospital Anatomical Pathology Laboratory processes over 18,000 surgical cases per year and over 2200 cytology cases per year.

About the function:
As a result of continued growth in service, the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory at Waikato District Health Board (WDHB) are seeking to recruit two additional full time pathologists to join our existing team of 9 Pathologists and 2 Registrars.

Responsibilities of the function:
Whilst there is a general reporting component, you will be encouraged to develop or continue in an area of special interest in line with the needs of the service.
Participation in multi-disciplinary meetings and in the after-hours on call roster is expected.
Required expertise & practice:

candidates must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
