We are pursuing applications for one position in the Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching programme. Interested candidates should state their strengths in any of the following areas: Te Reo M?ori, Inclusive Education, curriculum and/or professional practice. We would be interested in an expressed interest in leadership abilities of the secondary student professional placement practice (practicum). Current teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council is a requirement and practice in secondary school settings would be preferred. While the lecturing position includes a specific focus on initial teacher education, opportunities are available to contribute to postgraduate programmes and supervision of postgraduate students. The nexus between teaching and research is a focus in the School of Education and we seek an applicant who has a doctoral qualification, is research-active and can contribute to the research foci of the School of Education. Consequently, candidates should state their research interests and practice. This is a full-time permanent position to support the delivery of School of Education programmes from the North Shore and South campuses, with intended growth into the City campus. candidates should be willing to make a significant contribution to the academic community of the School. The function starts on 10 January 2022.
