Job Offer: Farmhand:Job description:FarmhandPayment: Paid Position (From $20 depending on practice )Job location: Central Otago Region: Otago/Queenstown/Wanaka practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 27/02/2021 We operate a Sheep and Beef farm (in a relatively remote and attractive location in Central Otago) with a mix of traditional and non-traditional farming practices. We are seeking for someone to assist with primarily sheep work, weed control, shifting feed breaks, feeding out, maintenance and other tasks that need to be done on the farm and around the homestead. If you can fence, crutch sheep or have carpentry expertise that would be a plus. A level of physical fitness is required along with some practice with sheep /other animals, be a quick learner and able to operate independently if necessary. If you have your own accommodation eg van or campervan that would be great. Should you need accommodation you will be able to stay in a very old homestead (awaiting restoration) with one or more of the family. You will need to have your own transport. If applicable, a current work visa is required. End of March start (some flexibility here). Skills:
