PROJECT MANAGER - FACILITIES / CONSTRUCTION / REMEDIATION

Background

This client organisation has a significant number of projects on the go at the moment and is seeking an practiced Project Representative to handle the liaison between key stakeholders as the projects evolve.
practice and Responsibilities
We don't need someone who is a hands-on construction PM; more someone who understands the intricacies of complex builds, remediation, and facilities management, and the importance of making sure the interactions between all parties runs smoothly and project timelines are adhered to and any issues are immediately rectified. The function probably sits between a very accomplished Senior Project Coordinator and a "generic" PM.
Your general practice in project management plus exposure to some aspects around construction and remediation work, will mean you're able to ensure things stay on track and results are achieved as planned and dictated. Because of the nature of the projects, achieving this is essential - hence the creation of this function.
Requirements
You'll need practice in Project Management, preferably some formal qualifications, and also be practiced in using the appropriate tools for tracking project progress. You'll need strong persuasive and clearcommunication expertise, both with the written word, as well as verbal.
The client is a stickler for detail, and has high expectations of performance, so you'll need to have the capability to impress from day one!!
Whilst initially for six months, the potential for a contract extension is highly likely for a top performer, who brings quality project management, reporting, risk management and stakeholder engagement expertise.
