Automation TesterLocation All AucklandAuckland Job type Full Time Salary to Category Engineering > IT & Telecommunications » Great opportunity working for a big technology company » Work location: Auckland, New Zealand » 12 months and full-time contract Our client is a big technology company, and they specialize in producing and selling computer hardware and software. They are currently seeking an Automation Tester, based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a 12-month and full-time contract. About this role : During the test execution phase, this role supports testing by addressing data-related defects, providing any potential new data required as a result of changes, and performing data maintenance activities as the project moves through various levels of testing. You will work closely with the Test Manager/Test Lead starting from the planning stages of an engagement to analyze and define the Test Data Strategy and Test Data Requirements of the project, during pre-execution works with Database Administrators and Data owners to prepare the required test data. Job responsibilities: » Specializes in testing applications at the data level. » Focuses on testing for ETL, Big Data, and data-intensive applications like BAO, MDM, and data migrations. » Performs tasks to understand business requirements » Design optimized test scenarios » Plan the testing activities, estimate work efforts, create test cases, identify the test environment, and test data requirements » Identify dependencies on external and internal applications, execute test cases using manual and automation solutions, report test status, perform defect creation » Triage, resolution and analyze the test outcome for continuous improvements using analytical and cognitive techniques and tools. Candidate requirements : » Have deep skills in core testing, technical testing related to data, data handling techniques/tools, and business domain/processes to meaningfully understand data. » Has good skills in using different testing tools, simulation/virtualization solutions, BDD/TDD and modeling approach of testing, test accelerators, and methods to bring quality and efficiency to test delivery. » Has skills to identify, create and manage test data required for different types and levels of testing. » Skills include data analysis, data manipulation, data creation, data masking, and data mining.
