Quality TechnicianLocation Manukau & East AucklandAuckland Job type Permanent Salary 60000 to 70000 Category Manufacturing/Operations > Other » Permanent role - Immediate Start » Greta Company Perks » Otahuhu Location We are on the lookout for a motivated Quality Test Technician to join our busy Quality Assurance team based in Otahuhu. Our client is based in Auckland on New Zealand's North Island and has been manufacturing high-quality reinforcing steel rod and bar products for over 50 years, for New Zealand's domestic market, as well as various export markets. They take pride in providing local technical and sales support alongside an excellent product range. 50 years on, the mantra of providing the highest levels of product quality and service support has remained and these qualities are reflected in our commitment to our customers and markets both locally and internationally. This role works on a rotating shift pattern of 5 days, 3 x 8-hour shifts per day, Monday to Friday and occasionally Saturday to meet the demands for testing. As part of the role, you will be required to: * Ensure all tests undertaken as detailed within the Standard Operating Procedures within each designated work area * Respond to production team leader requests to assist during delays. * Entering and evaluating test results, releasing products by changing 'status' in the production management system * Reporting hazards and incidents and taking action to eliminate, isolate or minimise hazards * Test finished product to ensure it meets a range of customer specifications * Provide the production teams with pre-determined lead indicators and technical information to enable in-line adjustments that ensure finished products achieve or exceed predefined expectations. About the person: * A team player with an enthusiastic and can-do attitude is key. * Working as part of a team will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with good attention to detail. * It is preferable that you will have previous quality assurance experience with a good understanding of materials and testing methods. * We are a manufacturing business and take health and safety seriously, this should be a priority for you too.
