Shift FitterLocation Manukau & East AucklandAuckland Job type Permanent Salary 90000 to 100000 Category Engineering > Industrial » Permanent Full Time » Amazing Salary and Company Perks » Otahuhu Location We are on the lookout for a motivated Shift Fitter to join our busy Rolling Mill team based in Otahuhu. Our client is based in Auckland on New Zealand's North Island and has been manufacturing high-quality reinforcing steel rod and bar products for over 50 years, for New Zealand's domestic market, as well as various export markets. They take pride in providing local technical and sales support alongside an excellent product range. 50 years on, the mantra of providing the highest levels of product quality and service support has remained and these qualities are reflected in our commitment to our customers and markets both locally and internationally. This role works Monday to Friday in our Otahuhu plant, and occasionally Saturday to meet the demands for testing. As part of the role, you will be required to: » Condition monitoring, preventative maintenance, maintenance repairs and breakdowns » Technical support for electrical, mechanical, and operational investigation/fault finding » Provision of team leader duties when required About the person: » Must hold a Tertiary qualification, or a Trades Qualification/background » Have the capacity to plan and organise on a daily basis » Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken » Good decision-making and problem-solving skills » The ability to work in a team environment » An uncompromising attitude towards safety » Basic math, English and IT skills » Knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, welding and pneumatics is desirable For the successful candidate: » A competitive salary reflective of experience » Kiwisaver contributions » Life and Medical insurance through Southern Cross » Monthly and Annual bonuses This is a great opportunity for an experienced Shift Fitter to join a fantastically run NZ-owned and operated business, with opportunities available to progress your career as you become more established in your role.
