Previous practice in a similar function is preferred but not essential as training will be given. You must be physically fit, be able to pass drug/alcohol screening, and commit to the shift patterns on offer. Hours will be a minimum of 40 hours per week. Key tasks will include: » Cattle hide hook up, cattle hide packing, tubbing out of hides » Knife handling, trimming of cattle hides, fleshing hides and salting hides, » Packing product, cleaning equipment and floors, stacking cattle and deer hides, » Operating the fleshing machine, operating the drying machine, » Sorting and marking product into bins, labelling of product. » Factory cleaning, cleaning equipment, machinery and floors. To succeed in this function you must be: » Physically fit and able. » capability to lift 20 - 30kg cattle and deer hides. » Must be able to commit to shift hours, work weekends, day and night shifts. » Able to work in a close team and follow work instructions and meet production deadlines. » Committed to health and safety consciousness at work. » Factory processing practice preferred working in a production environment but not essential as training will be given. » Must pass a drug test. » Forklift license would be an advantage but not essential.
