This approach continues to bring success and growth, with our newly opened Wellington premises featuring a state of the art gallery space, the opportunity has arisen to join our team in the position of Specialist, Art. This newly created function will suit an practiced Art professional with a demonstrated working expertise of NZ Art, Galleries, and institutions.
The prosperous candidate will be a pragmatic, self-motivated individual with sound organisational skills who will take initiative in this dynamic, fast paced environment. this function will require the capability to think on your feet, wear multiple hats and most importantly, work under pressure.
Expectations of the prosperous candidate will include assisting the wider team with preparation of proposals for potential vendors, cataloguing collections, assisting the marketing team to promote each auction, researching artworks and liaising with clients.
A professional attitude with the capability to meet deadlines and to prioritise work is a key focus. In addition, proven capability to produce exceptional written material with attention to detail is essential.
Essential Criteria
   » A minimum of 3+ years Art practice
   » Fine Art and/or Art History related degree
   » Expert demonstrated expertise of NZ Art
   » capability to communicate clearly and effectively
   » Highly organised and able to work under pressure
   » Copywriting and the capability to write critically on artworks/collectable pieces
   » expertise of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
   » Exceptional personal presentation

Flexibility to work extra hours including late nights and weekends alongside some travel.
You must have Legal right to work and live in NZ (you must hold a minimum of NZ Residency).
