About our group The Resourcing Group is responsible for delivering operational funding and staffing entitlements to nearly 2,500 schools. We administer annual payments of approximately $5.8 billion to Schools and Kura. We provide high quality financial advice and support to Schools and Boards of Trustees. We ensure Schools and Early Childhood centres receive correct resourcing entitlements through our Monitoring programme. We provide resourcing operational policy advice and guidance and produce one-off solutions to resourcing issues. Our Resourcing Contact Centre also provides direct telephone and email support to Schools’, Early Childhood Centres and the general public. About the function We have a great opportunity for an practiced Senior Analytics Business Analyst to develop, build and maintain business models to provide financial and operational insights that aid decision making. this function sits within the Equity Index (EQI) Implementation Team which is part of a Ministry-wide programme of work. The EQ I Implementation Team are leading the transition and embedding of the Equity Index into operational delivery. The key focus for this function will be to provide support across several business groups to identify, plan and assist the transition of business analytics, reporting and advice. procedures and processes. this function is: » Full-time » located in Wellington » 12-month, fixed-term About you As the ideal candidate you will need to have a minimum of 3 years’ practice working in financial modelling or financial analysis, and bring a range of expertise and practice in the following areas: » practice in Business Intelligence Reporting » Advanced Excel and VBA expertise » practice in designing, building and testing financial and operational models and working with larges sets of data » Analysing and interpreting data from disparate sources to draw significant insights at both strategic and operational levels » Working alongside colleagues in other multi-disciplinary teams to provide value-driven business insights » Utilising your excellent communication expertise to deal with problems, present results and make recommendations » Excellent relationship, communication and writing expertise » You will be practiced in analysing complex issues and developing effective options for action We are an organisation that values our staff; we offer flexible work hours and provide opportunity for personal development and learning.
