We hire andinstall a range of high quality NZ made marquees alongside furniture and decorfor events weddings and celebrations all over Canterbury. Our professionaldetails driven team create unique and unforgettable practices offering afully inclusive service and everything needed to deliver a seamless marqueeevent in locations of significance for our clients. HOURSOF WORK 30hours per week minimum (more hours required in peak times) Hoursare rostered Monday - Sunday with weekend work required during busy times.There is out of town/overnight work required from time to time (e.g. MarlboroughWestcoast South Canterbury). JOBDESCRIPTION Thiskey function supports the Operations Manager to lead a team of practiced and newriggers with a focus on safety and wellbeing on-job training attention todetail and overall client practice. Keyresponsibilities include: » Installation and dismantling of marquees flooring lighting furniture etc » Maintaining and/or managing maintenance of hire products » Coordination of team training registers - on and off job » Stock control including sub hired items » Preparation of site paperwork for Marquee Rigging Crew/s (including but not limited to delivery and install instructions Council Permits / Exemptions H&S / SSSP documentation client hand over documentation etc) » Preparing orders for clients to collect (includes counting product out and in) » Loading/unloading hire products to trucks for clients and Marquee Rigging Crew/s » Delivery and collection of hire products to site + install or set up as required » Inclusion on the on-call roster to answer client questions when events are taking place » General warehouse yard and vehicle upkeep alongside the Warehouse Coordinator KEYATTRIBUTES + expertise Key attributesand expertise for this function include: » You're organised - You love systems and processes and enjoy looking for efficiencies and innovations that benefit and business and the client. » You're a Team Player - While you are confident to work autonomously you thrive being part of a team and you enjoy sharing your expertise and expertise with others. » You're Reliable - You hate letting people down and make sure you go the extra mile for your work mates and clients - this includes being punctual! » You can Communicate - You know how to communicate effectively and confidently with a team suppliers and clients. » You're a critical thinker - You love to see the big picture have initiative in droves and solve problems before they even happen. » Youare physically fit - You have a good level of fitness and strength and lovespending time outdoors. » YOU WANT TO WORK - Working in the event industry is no easy task but Information technology is so compensateing and no two days are the same. You must be willing to work weekends and extra hours when required. ESSENTIAL practice + QUALIFICATIONS Essentialpractice and qualifications for this function include: » Minimum 12 months practice rigging marquees (APEX trained Marquee Rigger (DESIRABLE) - We will put you through APEX training if required) » practice leading a team and providing on job training » Full clean drivers license (manual license required) » Can or willing to lgain to drive our small trucks (Class 2) » Can or willing to obtain a forklift license » Can tow a heavy trailer » Current or willing to obtain a First Aid certificate » Competent on a computer How to submit the application: Ifyou're the person We are seeking please send us an email with a bit aboutyourself along with your CV via the link.
