Reporting to the Associate Dean (Pacific), this function will support activities, which promote and strengthen efforts as aligned with the University of Otago's Pacific Strategic Framework and the University of Otago Wellington's (UOW) Pacific Action Plan. If you are interested in providing support and making a difference for Pacific students at the University of Otago, then this is your opportunity. The function –Te mahi this function is located in the Division of Health Sciences, University of Otago and is positioned in the Pacific Office at the University of Otago, Wellington (UOW). The function will support the Associate Dean (Pacific) by undertaking and promoting activities that strengthen engagement with Pacific students. Key tasks of this function include the following: » Ensuring continuing development of the academic and/or mentoring programmes for Pacific students at UOW » Implementing any new mentoring initiatives and programmes across the campus working closely with Pacific students and significant staff within the University » Providing reporting on mentoring programmes and activities for Pacific students » Ensuring Pacific culture, values and principals are integrated appropriately into, and assist with, Pacific related activities and events » Maintaining key relationships both internally and externally. » Performing significant tasks to support the UOW Pacific Action Plan and the University of Otago Pacific Strategic Framework Your expertise and practice –K? p?keka me k? wheako » practice and/or expertise of Pacific Peoples and their customs. » A proven capability to access and maintain networks with the Pacific Peoples community. » A Tertiary degree.
