The M?ori, Community and Partnerships group of the Ministry of Social Development, is responsible for the management and delivery of the Community portfolio.
The Community portfolio has a strong focus on ensuring communities which MSD serve are enabled to benefit from the MSD goals for all individuals and whanau to:
   » Get the support they require.
   » Be resilient and live in inclusive and supportive communities.
   » Participate positively in society and reach their potential.
The Communities portfolio also brings to life the strategic aspirations of MSD's Te Pae Tawhiti, Te Pae Tata and Pacific Prosperity to achieve key organisational shifts to improve results for all New Zealanders:
   » Mana manaaki – creating positive and dignified practices with the Ministry every time.
   » Kotahitanga – partnerships with communities to achieve greater impact on social results.
   » Kia takat? t?tou – supporting communities to develop long term plans for social and economic improvements.
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity, that brings together work across the Ministry that connects with our communities.
We are seeking for someone who has strong relationship management and practice in portfolio or programme management. You will be will be responsible for building strong relationships with other groups internally and externally, as well as supporting and superviseing the delivery of multiple projects and/or programmes in parallel.You will also be expected to get involved and be ?doing the do' too.
Key accountabilities include:
   » Liaising between M?ori, Community and Partnerships and the wider MSD.
   » Managing and facilitating relationships and communications across internal and external stakeholders.
   » Managing the delivery of projects and/or programmes in the portfolio.
   » Managing and resolving risk issues and initiating corrective actions.
   » Managing budgets.
Key to your success will be your genuine enjoyment and well-developed expertiseet in building and maintaining relationships and real knowledge of the word partnerships. Complementing this you'll be a problem solver who can focus on the solutions.
