Te Mana Whakamaru Tamariki Motuhake (The Independent Children's Monitor) provides independent oversight across the Oranga Tamariki system. Its primary function is to monitor those organisations that have custody and care of children and young people with a focus on supporting improved results for them and their wh?nau. This is achieved through feeding back to organisations, communities and agencies, as well as reporting findings to the Minister.

The Kairuruku Tira – Team Coordinator plays a key function in supporting the functions of our Monitors or front-line staff. In this function you will work across the monitoring teams of both the Auckland and Christchurch offices. Your key responsibilities will be to provide exceptional administration support and assistance to the teams, including but not limited to travel arrangements; calendar management; stakeholder coordination; event management; and document and information management. We are keen to find someone who likes to problem-solve, find efficiencies, and develop processes to improve our operations.
We are seeking for an practiced administrator who is:
   » Skilled in managing a range of administrative tasks across teams and sites.
   » Be familiar with government systems including travel and financial processes.
   » A team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues to achieve the best outcome for the business.
   » practiced in implementing mini projects to improve efficiency.
   » Able to use initiative and judgement in prioritising and progressing with assigned work.
   » Driven to get the job done, be strong in multi-tasking and help others when and as needed.

*The term ?Oranga Tamariki system? is used to describe any agency services provided to children and young people under the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and includes all agencies that provide services to children in the Oranga Tamariki system, for example health, education and discapability services and includes non-government organisations.
