Job Opportunity: 21/778 Service Coach AnyQuestions:Department of Internal Affairs - Te Tari TaiwhenuaJob description:Job DescriptionType: Fixed Term – 2 YearsHours: Part time – 20 hours Job location: Auckland Business Group :National Library Branch: Information and Knowledge Services income: $68,060– $92,081 (pro-rata) » Make a difference for young people in New Zealand » Opportunities for Development » Part time - 20 hours per week We are pursuing an outstanding person for the key position of Service Coach AnyQuestions, within the Services to Schools team at a time of dynamic opportunity and change. AnyQuestions is a free online reference service for all New Zealand school students via live text-located chat that is managed by Services to Schools, Te Puna M?tauranga National Library of New Zealand. The Service Coach is responsible for developing operator capcapability and enabling the nationwide AnyQuestions/Many Answers team to deliver excellent service to customers. The Service Coach will take a specialist function in the development of the AnyQuestions community of practice around operator performance. They are responsible for facilitating training, providing learning and development resources, and supporting operator success through mentoring and performance review. The Service Coach will primarily be working with school librarians in Northland and Eastern regions of the North Island. The AnyQuestions/Many Answers service provides digital learning opportunities for New Zealand school students and education sector partners through a live online chat practice, supplemented by online guides and resources that encourage digital fluency. The Service Coach will be a valued team member who positively contributes to achieving results to support our vision that young people have access to effectiveand connected library services that support their development as readers and digitally literate learners The individual we seek has the energy and drive to motivate and empower others, the flexibility to explore and take up innovative ideas, and the capability to be proactive in developing positive training solutions. We are seeking for Somebody with: » the expertise to interact with a wide variety of people and build working relationships at all levels across the education sector, » a good knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and the New Zealand Curriculum, » the talent to express and convey information effectively via the spoken and written word (in both formal and informal situations), » an interest in keeping up with current information literacy, trends and resources for young people and educators, » practice developing people e.g. training, mentoring, coaching staff to reach their agreed goals, and » at least 2 years recent practice working with young people as either a kaiako, teacher or librarian, or working in a related field. Please note: This is 0.5 FTE fixed term function for two years. Occasional travel away in the house (between 1-3 days at a time) may be required.
