They guide and assist their patients with an optimal path of treatment - helping them to quickly, and effectively, return to work and resume their normal everyday activities. The function: You will be providing assessment and treatment by providing a quality service that patients, referrers and funders are satisfied with. You will be completing assessments following policy & procedure guidelines, appropriately modifying treatment plans as the patient’s condition changes, using hand therapy resources effectively and efficiently, seeking the advice of other hand therapists as necessary, monitoring patient treatment numbers, making timely requests for further treatments and ensuring the patient is aware of surcharges and any other required charges. The ideal candidate: - Be a qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist. - Registered with the New Zealand Board of your qualification. - Hold a current annual practicing certificate (APC) from the New Zealand Board of your qualification. - Be a member of the society of your qualification (PNZ or OTNZ-WNA). - Be a member, or agree to become, a member of Hand Therapy New Zealand.
