About the function The function is responsible for providing financial advice, information and analysis to help managers across our business groups to make timely and informed financial decisions, manage financial performance and to be accountable for public funds. We are pursuing an outstanding finance professional who understands Government decision making and operating procedures and who can strengthen our capability to provide effective financial management and support the Ministry’s financial strategy. About you To be prosperous in this function you will have the capability to build effective relationships and credibility with customers at all levels across the Ministry, team members and colleagues in Finance. You will also offer the following: » Tertiary Qualification in Finance, Commerce or Business, and hold or working towards Chartered Accountant status within CAANZ or equivalent is desired » A sound knowledge of public sector financial management » practice undertaking financial modelling and financi al analysis » Can effectively influence and provide specialist advice to managers If you’d like to bring your expertise to a compensateing function within an organisation that’s continuously reaching goals and striving for a better future for New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you.
