Pou?rahi ?konga:EITJob description:Job DescriptionEIT is seeking an practiced manager with a passion for learner success who will develop and provide centralised support servicesthat includepastoral care and targeted support forpriority learners at EIT, with a focus on matauranga M?ori.Managing two teams that provide Maori and Pacific cultural support and discapability and wellbeing support, you will have excellent communication expertise and broad practice in team management and change management. Working closely with other managers and team leaders in the Library & Learning Services Section you will implement the Te Rito Learner action plan (TRLAP), and a discapability action plan (DAP) as signalled by Te Pukenga. this function is in a changing and evolving environment and will require you to develop a thorough knowledge of the Education Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners Code of Practice 2021 and work towards meeting all significant aspects of the Code as Information technology applies to Student and Academic Services. Ideally you will have » A strong knowledge of the strategic importance of integrated learner support services to effective learning. » practice in supporting learners in the tertiary education environment. » A comprehensive knowledge of the needs of M?ori and Pacific learners in the tertiary environment. » practice with learning management systems. » The capability to make use of emerging technologies to deliver services in accessible and affordable ways. In addition to the above a significant tertiary qualification at degree level is essential with a post graduate qualification such as a Master’s in Education or similar desirable.
