Job Opportunity: Seasonal Orchard Workers - Cherry Harvest:Suncrest OrchardJob description:Suncrest Orchard, Cromwell - Otago Seasonal Orchard Workers - Cherry Harvest, Agriculture and Forestry Seasonal jobs inCromwell Otago New Zealand Suncrest Orchard is a key player in the Central Otago cherry industry and we have been exporting premium cherries for over 20 years. We are pursuing physically fit motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our harvest teams for the 2022-23 cherry export season. We have continuous work available from early December until the end of the cherry export season in late January/early February but there are also options to work for part of the season. No practice is required as we will train you in the best way to pick cherries to prevent damage to the fruit and efficient picking techniques. Payment is per kilogram with competitive rates so the more you pick the more you earn. In addition if you work until the end of the season we offer an End of Season Bonus. » » We are a family-owned and operated orchard with 3 generations working hands-on in the business. » We employ all our seasonal employees on a seasonal fixed-term basis. This means that all our seasonal employees are guaranteed 40 hours of work per week. » We grow over 30 varieties of cherries which means that during cherry harvesting we do not have long breaks when there is no work available. » We are Global GAP and GRASP accredited. This means we are a safe sustainable company practicing good agricultural practices and complying with national employment legislation. » We offer a great team environment. » We provide free transport to and from work each day for those employees staying in Cromwell. » With the exception of our Bannockburn orchard all of our orchards are located within 1km of each other so there is minimal travel time. Travel time is paid for any travel between orchards and transport is provided. » We offer a range of accommodation options both on and off the orchard. Early starts mean early finishes leaving you plenty of time to explore everything Central Otago has to offer - fishing swimming or boating on Lake Dunstan cycling the local trails a visit to one of the many local cellar doors taking in the scenery on one of the walking tracks or just relaxing in the sun with friends. Days off present an opportunity to explore further afield and enjoy nearby Queenstown and Wanaka.
