Sculpture in the Grove is a biennial event held in either a picturesque park or garden setting encouraging visitors to wander and enjoy sculptures of all kinds. The 2022 exhibition will be held in an olive grove in Mangawhai Village. Past exhibitions have attracted both local and overseas artists working in many different media. Works have ranged from monumental, site specific, permanent, to ephemeral in nature. This year there will be two awards for outstanding work: People's Choice and the Curator's Award. Mangawhai is an extremely popular East Coast holiday destination approximately 90 minutes north of Auckland. The timing of the exhibition (Auckland Anniversary Weekend) and its location will attract a diverse appreciative audience and, perhaps, potential clients.
