This approach continues to bring success and growth. An opportunity has arisen for an excellent candidate to join us in the capacity of Cataloguer within our Art team .
What are we looking for?
This is a function that will suit a highly organised individual with a passion for Art who thrives on the capability to wear multiple hats, jumping in feet first to get things done, providing support to the team, all while working in a very busy and dynamic working environment.
Attention to detail, the capability to work with tight deadlines and pragmatic thinking will be your personality! Consistently executing tasks to a high standard and most importantly being a one-stop-shop to support to our Art team.
Expectations of the function responsibilities will include preparation of Art auctions, written proposals for potential vendors, meeting and greeting clients, cataloguing art works and assisting with print and online publications. As this function is within our Art team, auction items include large Artworks, and therefore the capability to move sizeable stock will be required.
A professional attitude with the capability to meet deadlines and to prioritise work is a key focus. In addition, proven capability to produce exceptional written material with attention to detail is essential.
Essential Criteria
   » Auction industry practice desirable
   » Tertiary qualification in Art History or Fine Art
   » Computer savvy
   » capability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and written
   » Highly organised and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
   » Excellent project management skills
   » Physically fit in order to move sizeable items
   » Exceptional personal presentation
Due to the nature of our business, this function may require some weekend work therefore flexibility is required.
You must have Legal right to work and live in NZ.
