Fruit thinning / Tipping / Stringing from the 10th October! We are on the hunt for backpackers who want to work in the kiwifruit orchards. No practice required. Just need a good attitude and work ethic! Spend your days outside in the beautiful ful weather here in the Bay of Plenty - did we mention we even can help with transportation for the job ? Pay rate starts at $24/hr plus 8% holiday - you'll also get paid a little more if you sign up to be a team leader/driver. Work includes: remove growing tip and allow 1 bud to grow each way + attach string from high wire + fruit thinning. We are Pacific Coast Lodge & Backpackers, an award winning working hostel located in beautiful Mount Maunganui! We ASSIST our guests ONLY, in finding work , and with relationships with some of the best employers in the region, most guests find work within the first 1-3 days of staying with us. We offer amenities like free surfboards, Chromecast, monthly hostel events, and more! We're only an 8-minute walk to the beach as well...it's the best place to be! We offer weekly rates of $217/week for 6 bed shared dorm or $224/week for 4 bed shared dorm.
