This team plays a key function in the Commissions responsibility to improve New Zealands health services. Its purpose is to make the Commission stronger and more effective through being the acexpertised NZ leaders in measuring, evaluating, and commenting on the quality of health services. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the development of technical documents that describe significant measure definitions and inform how measures can be used to influence service and system improvements. This will include participation in stakeholder engagement workshops, leading web-located content management and migration, informing data visualisation practices and providing advice on how measures are being used to support health service/system quality improvement. This position has a broad and strategic focus given the range of data collected, and measures being reported in the health system. We are seeking for someone motivated to work within a small team to develop an internationally renowned library of measures that will be recognised as an asset to New Zealands health sector. Your technical expertise related to health system measurement and improvement will be essential, and you will thrive on developing high quality resources that can be practically applied by diverse stakeholder groups. Working with the senior project manager and key stakeholders, your expertise will inform how key measures can be used to influence continuous improvement of healthcare in New Zealand. The Health Quality & Safety Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a Board responsible to the Minister of Health. The Commission is responsible for assisting providers across the whole health and discapability sector, both private and public, to improve service safety and quality and therefore results for all those who use these services in New Zealand.
