We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Located in Ellerslie, Auckland, you will be an integral part of our high-performance sales team, responsible for developing and driving our sales portfolio.
This role is a fixed term Account Manager role for maternity cover from May 2024 -July 2025. The role is full time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week. The location of work is Ellerslie, Auckland.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to establish, achieve consensus on, and formulate strategies to exceed commercial targets.
- Take full responsibility for managing specific customer portfolio activities, ensuring comprehensive and proactive oversight.
- Identify and actively pursue customer opportunities, presenting compelling business cases for each potential venture.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess and qualify business opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within multi-level cross-functional customer organizations.
- Optimize engagement of customer networks and influencers, enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Actively contribute to the strategy ideation process and play a crucial role in strategic commercial negotiations.
- Develop high-quality, well-aligned account plans contributing to overarching business objectives.
Role Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrate robust business development and sales experience with a proven track record of success.
- Possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and similar applications.
- Exhibit the ability to anticipate and comprehend customers' needs and key drivers, coupled with a highly ethical and responsible attitude.
- Have expertise in customer engagement, follow-up skills, and cultivating lasting relationships.
- Show a strong sense of initiative, effective problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, fostering effective collaboration.
- Exhibit high drive, self-motivation, flexibility, and agility in a dynamic global business environment.
