Ko t? m?tou mahi – Our function
As Te Kurutao Regional Manager, you will provide leadership abilities and support to positively strengthen the relationship between K?inga Ora and M?ori all over your geographic region.
Key elements of this will include providing cultural leadership abilities and direction to the regional team, and managing effective strategic relationships and engagement with M?ori, including Iwi/ropu M?ori, M?ori housing and community organisations, community and development organisations and other partners where required.
Ng? p?manawatanga ?u – What you will bring:
   » A wealth of practice leading highly skilled, high performing and engaged teams, focused on delivering to customers in a multi-faceted and demanding environment, including delivering results with M?ori
   » A deep knowledge and knowledge of tikanga M?ori, coupled with fluency in Te Reo and thorough knowledge of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the impacts of colonisation from both a M?ori and Crown perspective
   » Excellent interpersonal and relationship management expertise, with demonstrated practice facilitating and developing mutually beneficial working relationships with Iwi/ropu M?ori
   » The capability to deal with ambiguity and change, managing complex problems with ever-changing goal posts in a fast-paced and rapidly moving environment
   » Significant practice coupled with a tertiary qualification in resource management, environmental/town planning, law, psychology, education, finance, communication or related disciplines with specific emphasis on M?ori results is advantageous
   » A relentless commitment to improving the lives and wellbeing of others, with particular focus on Iwi/M?ori
As this function will require travel across your geographic region, a current NZ driver’s licence is required.
