We are working differently with the sector and communities so that our education system can deliver the best results for children and wh?nau. The Ministry’s highest priorities are to raise engagement in education and achievement for all. Participation in quality early learning is a priority. this function will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively with the sector, parents, families and wh?nau and communities to develop local solutions that will increase participation and improve quality early learning provision. Education Advisers take a lead function in the licensing and certification of early childhood education (ECE) services and participation initiatives. This requires excellent relationship management expertise and an in depth expertise of the early learning education sector at a senior level. If you are able to evidence your practice and expertise in the following areas we would like to hear from you: » Strong networks and practice working with M?ori medium and immersion ECE services » expertise and practice working with Te Wh?riki » expertise and practice working within early learning service legislation » The confidence to work across a diverse range of early learning services and contexts » Have practice in assessing information to make objective judgments against criteria and recommending courses of action » Have the capability to analyse complex issues to produce clear and succinct written work with strong written and oral communication expertise » Have practice in dealing with complex relationships, including influencing and negotiation expertise » A tertiary qualification in early learning or other significant discipline While initially located from our Whangarei office, the positions will involve travel across all of Tai Tokerau.
