The Senior Couple function… This is a unique opportunity for a couple with hospitality practice to step into a more senior function. You will assist the Lodge Managers in ensuring smooth delivery of all aspects of lodge operations. continuing training and support will build your capacity to take on responsibility and deputise for Lodge Managers. This is a very hands-on function as part of a small team for the 2022/23 season (Sept 2022 to May 2023 with potential to extend). Being a practical, versatile team-player is a must as is the capability to lead others by example. The function may be tailored to the prosperous candidates' expertise and practice located around these key areas of responsibility: » Restaurant, Bar & Kitchen. Ensuring outstanding dining practices for our guests through the smooth and efficient coordination of kitchen, bar and restaurant operations. » Housekeeping. Maintaining consistently high standards in lodge rooms and communal areas. » Reception and Administration. Undertaking office and reception tasks including welcoming and hosting guests, reservations and general administration. » Maintenance and Grounds. Maintaining lodge facilities, grounds and trails to a high standard. » Guiding and Natural History. Assist in the delivery of an innovative programme of guided nature interpretation. Previous guiding/natural history practice an advantage. Required expertise and practice… this function requires a couple with a wide variety of complementary expertise and practice. » Previous hospitality practice (minimum two years). » A desire to build up your hospitality skill set working closely with practiced lodge managers. » A focus on guest-service and hosting along with a high standard of personal presentation. » A proven capability to lead by example, work well in a small team, and train other staff members. » availability to work variable hours and live onsite in a remote location.
