Vailima Orchard is a prosperous, 4th generation family-owned business with over 200Ha’s of Apple Orchards stretching over the Waimea plain in Hope. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join our already established team. This is an incredible opportunity for someone that has a wide variety of expertise, is motivated, capable and committed person. You must be after a career as we are passionate about building up our skilled team to deliver the perfect apples. The qualities and expertise that We are seeking for are: - practice operating equipment including but not limited to; tractors, tractor implements, mowers and sprayer. - Past practice in maintenance of tractors and other machinery - practice with chemical spraying - Current drivers Licence - Able to work well within a team or independently - Ensuring that the highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained - Has excellent communication expertise - An knowledge of Horticulture and growing premium produce - Computer expertise and not afraid of new technology - Happy to give any task a go with the right training - Physically fit - Reliable - Self-motivated If you are looking for a reliable long-term function, with a genuine opportunity to lgain and be part of the exciting horticultural industry, then this function will meet your requirements. candidates for this position must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
