They have over 600 staff in New Zealand. function: The Theatre Manager is a critical function for the effective use of our Theatre resources and delivery of clinical care to the patients and Specialists by: » Providing leadership abilities and operational management to the Operating Rooms to achieve the hospital vision and key focus areas » Developing strong relationships with the key customers, delivering services that meet their expectations » Ensuring the clinical teams across the service are skilled to support and deliver optimal patient results » Effectively and efficiently manage resources to meet agreed targets » Working with other members of the leadership abilities Team to ensure the efficient and effective use of people and financial resources, resulting in positive clinical results for patients, exceptional customer service, and growth theatres » Work collaboratively with other department leaders to ensure appropriate use and optimisation of resources. Responsibilities will include: Reporting to the Hospital Manager you will be responsible for: » Leads the development and implementation of improvement culture and practices to enhance our patients practice and improve the care and services we deliver. » Demonstrates a working knowledge and knowledge of current trends and their implications for perioperative nursing and sterilizing practice by having a sound knowledge of AORN and ACORN standards and AS/NZ4187 » Ensuring Nursing Policy and Protocols are communicated and consistently adhered to by team members. » Leading and driving continuous clinical performance improvement, change management and a best practice agenda » Coaching and developing clinical practice and business leaders through support and challenge, facilitating opportunities for professional growth » Ensures the right level of seniority and skill mix in the teams and that staff have access to appropriate resources and training required to maintain strong clinical skills. » Creates an environment that holds people accountable for areas of responsibility and actions taken » In conjunction with the Clinical Practice Manager and OR Clinical Educator, develops the unit training and development plan » Assists with meeting and maintaining the requirements for the prosperous achievement of the Equip standards » Responds in a timely and prompt manner to incidents and complaints, ensuring connected documentation is accurate and detailed » Ensures reportable events are investigated and action plans are developed to address trends and opportunities for improvement; provides regular feedback to the team regarding reportable events data » Ensures the unit complies with all Health and Safety and Infection Control policies and procedures » Responsible for Health & Safety and quality & risk You : » Registered Nurse with current Practicing certificate » Post Graduate Qualification in Health Management (preferred) » Minimum of 5 years’ practice in Operating Room leadership abilities » practice in leadership abilities functions with significant clinical, human resource and financial management exposure » skills in setting and managing elements of a budget, including strong resource management skills to optimise results within allocated resources/budgets » Demonstrated capability to build strong relationships to work collaboratively with peers and superiors, and to contribute to organisation wide improvement and growth » Demonstrated capability to lead, assist and support organisational change » Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective Specialists Application Process: Click Apply Now or call Dee on 0226579248 to have a confidential chat about the function.
