About the Organisation:
The beating heart of South Auckland is enhanced by the Counties Manukau District Health Board, providing high-quality and responsive healthcare services to the growing population. With increased demand to provide new healthcare facilities and to upgrade existing assets, the support from the Government will ensure this critical healthcare provider meets the health needs of the region.
About this function:
Focused on project management of design and construction phases, the function will encompass all manner of project initiation, procurement, design, and execution across the project lifecycle across a range of new, upgrade and the expansion of facility-related projects within the Major Capital Works programme.
With a variety of projects at various stages of evolution, the Project Manager will ?pick up the reins' on existing projects or commence exciting and unique new projects to drive them forward to a quality process to a prosperous outcome. Engaging with a wide variety of dynamic and expertiseable stakeholders will require leadership abilities and dexterity in stakeholder management, along with injecting solid governance and influencing expertise to manage through the business case, design, construction delivery phases across multiple sites.
About you:
We need a resourceful and dynamic Project Manager to ?get the job' done through the flexibility of work tasks, driving towards prosperous delivery, and the graceful management of stakeholders.
You will have 10+ years of practice in project planning, budget management, and delivering infrastructure/construction projects and possess solid practice working within the infrastructure, engineering, capital works, within consultancy or client-side environments within large complex organisations such as health, education or similar.
You will have been prosperous in managing projects delivered by contractors, able to employ appropriate project management techniques to achieve strategic project objectives, and decision making across the projects, and to help deliver the results in a coordinated manner.
Structured, credible, driven, and resourceful will sum up the ideal candidate attributes, along with qualifications and practical practice in building related fields i.e., Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Engineering, with exposure to design coordination, construction and projects management.
