Offer: Dairy Herd Manager:Job description:Dairy Herd ManagerPayment: Paid Position ($25.50 hourly/ income equivalent)Job location: Stavely Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: practice Necessary Listing Added: 06/03/2022 We are located in the West Canterbury region about 35 - 40 minutes from Ashburton. We farm on 240 hectares milking 820 cows through a 60 bail rotary, very modern shed with Protrac and ACR's. This is a flat farm with a very clean layout. We irrigate with a combination of Pivot and K line. We are searching for somebody with at least 2 years practice in the NZ Dairy industry or something similar. You must be confident in and have had prior operating practice with Tractors, feeding out, mowing and ideally fert You must have well spoken and written English as communication is a key attribute in our team. spreading as we do all of our own on farm. Riding a two wheeler is a must as there are no Quads. You must be drug free and non smoking. Testing will occur. You must be physically fit. practice with fencing would be an advantage. You must have practice working with stock of different classes. practice working with and fixing irrigation would be an advantage also. You must currently be in NZ and legally able to work. You must have no prior criminal convictions Accommodation is a three bedroom house on farm to share with 1 -2 others.
