Urban Dream Brokerage is proud to offer our exciting new community moving image art programme -Urban Dreams - Te W?hi o Te Papa Whak?ta. This has come about as an extension to Urban Dream Brokerage's access to a great public space We are seeking to share with visual artists and the public of P?neke Wellington.
This partnership between Urban Dram Brokerage and the Wellington City Creative Communities Scheme, provides an opportunity is for six artists to have existing moving image work featured on our screen-located window display at 106 Courtenay Place at the Readings Cinema Complex.
Curation for this submission is to be supervisen by two independent artist curators, Tanya Ruka ofFog & Moon Studioand Ollie HuttonMouthful Collective. Note both will contribute a work each to this activation.

   » Submissions aredue no later than 5pm Wednesday May 25th
   » Final decisions for all candidates will be notified on Wednesday June 15th
   » prosperous artists will be paid $300 (plus GST if registered).
   » Artists must be NZ permanent residents or have a current working visa.
   » Work to be considered - Moving Image & Film * Moving Image - a visual work that has the appearance of movement.
   »Work is no longer than 15 mins in duration.
   » Work is required to have no sound or sound is not essential.
   »We encourage existing work , but you are welcome to submit new work.
   » We have two themes of interest, with priority given to stories relating to P?neke Wellington:
   »Te Ao M?or i - The world of M?ori and/or
   » If speaking to Te Ao M?ori and you are looking to tell mana whenua stories, please show evidence of acexpertisement from mana whenua they are happy for the story to be told by you.
   »Te Taiao - Nature and the natural world.
   » If speaking to Te Taiao, think about how that relates to the urban environment and its relationship with nature.
   » All work should be submitted in a suitably compressed format to be easily viewed (ie. USB).
   » Selected works will feature on our public screen for a duration of one week from Wed - Sun 5pm -11pm daily.
   » The works will be installed by our team.
   » Each prosperous artist will have an opportunity to host an artist talk at their first showing. *Optional
