Working at Mt Ruapehu you'll be surrounded by like-minded people who are flexible willing to have a crack where needed work hard and then ski/ride even harder! Everyone here shares a passion for the mountain and the sâ€?urrounding region because of the endless possibilities for adventure. Whether it's because you love nature the truly unique world heritage area or the obvious draw card of skiing/riding the volcano there are opportunities for real fun at every turn. Working in the Food & Beverage department no two days will be the same. This position offâ€?ers variety as you will be working in the various café outlets around the mountain. tasks include clearing and sanitising stocking fridges and organising displays. As well as providing an efficient and professional service to all guests you will need to: » Competently operate a cash register and ETPOS system as required. » Ensure service is in conformity with or exceeds the guests expectations and that orders are processed accurately and in a timeframe that optimised service quality. » Prepare and maintain the café seating areas and counter spaces to ensure they are ready for food service and are visually appealing. » Ensure all rubbish and recycling is removed from storage locations to disposal areas and distributed correctly. » Apply expertise of hygiene and safety when Information technology comes to preparing and storing food. » Assist in the transporting of the café product. » Maintain cleanliness around café entrances and outdoor areas ensuring snow and ice is cleared and the areas are safe and accessible for guests. » Assist in other departments as required. » Perform any other tasks as required by the Food & Beverage managers and Head of Department.
