This job is not your typical 9 to 5 desk-bound function and offers plenty of variety. Information technology is challenging and requires a fit all-rounder who has both practical and office skill. Some good old common sense will not go astray either. As an Operations and Sales Representative/Vehicle Groomer your main tasks in this busy position will include; front office tasks, such as, handling rental car bookings, reservations; shuttling customers and other administration tasks, co-ordinating everyday movements; checking vehicles and vehicle grooming/delivery. To succeed in this busy function, you will ideally be customer focussed and operated in an environment where you have had to ‘think on your feet’ and make your own decisions. Rental Car industry practice is not required we are more interested in having someone who works hard, is prepared to learn, and rises to the challenge. Good general expertise of New Zealand and an interest in the tourism industry would valuable but not essential. You will need a full driver’s licence and be comfortable driving a variety of vehicles (manual and automatic) from small hatchbacks through to minibuses. The capability to manoeuvre vehicles in tight spaces is essential. This is a full-time position and candidates should be available to work on a rotating 7-day roster basis including weekends and public holidays. Work will also include sole charge.
