Our property is on a no-exit road, so its a quiet place, we have 10 acres that is positioned for full sun. Your room will be in our lovely warm sleepout with a view out over the valley, the bed is comfortable with nice linen on it. Our house has a coal range in the kitcen and a log fire in the lounge, we have endlessfree wifi and a netflix account for movies. We need help on the farm with all sorts of chores, these could be helping with the animals, we have three horses and one cow, loads of ducks and chickens. You will need to enjoy furry animals too as we have two kelpie dogs and two ginger cats all with their own very unique personalities. Some of the jobs that you might be asked to do are, weeding, splitting firewood (with a log splitter), moviing hay or manure. If you have practice in other areas these could also be put to use...... Under the new Government rules this is a paid job, working 24 hours per week, (@ $22.00 +8% holiday pay) so you must already hold a valid Working Holiday Visa and have an IRD number. This is a live in position staying in our sleepout, your accommodation and expenses are $575.00 per week, which will be deducted from your weekly pay which is the equivalent of the old rule working for accommodation, so you WILL NOT RECEIVE A WAGE but you will not be out of pocket. We will issue you with a contract explaining this when you start. We ask for 4 hours work a day, and in return you will have all your food included, we have our own eggs and a lot of vegetables from the garden, plus grow our own beef. If you can cook this is a bonus as you might like to help in the kitchen. We provide you with a cooked dinner each night, but leave you to get your own breakfast and lunch daily.
