Job Opportunity: Demi Pair:Job description:Demi PairPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($190)Job location: Cambridge Region: Waikato/Coromandel practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 10/08/2021 We are seeking for a few hours help each morning with our two boys from mid-September-end of Feb (with a couple of weeks off for Xmas hols). We have previously enjoyed having backpackers and au pairs stay with us and we love sharing our house with different people. We live in the country on a few acres with a couple of horses, and usually have a litter of foster kittens as well as other stray animals. I specialise in training the behaviour of young horses, and I return to work to handle new-born foals during foaling season (from September until the end of Feb). So, our two boys need someone to help them get organised and off to school in the mornings. Toby and Ollie are 7 and 9 years old; they go to a local school 15 min down the road. They are very easy to be around but will need the typical reminders (teeth? hair? book bag? type stuff) before leaving the house. We would like your help for around 18-20hrs each week, starting at 6am (which usually means staying in bed until 7am until you hear one of the boys up and about) and finishing between 9-10.30am each weekday when you drop the boys to school. After that, your day is free to work/study/play or simply invite your mates over to laze by our heated salt water pool and play with the puppy :) You will have one of our cars to use as your own during your time with us for exploring; walking, riding, cycling, surfing, visiting Hobbiton; there is loads to do if you are keen. You will have a spacious, private room with an ensuite, endlessWifi use etc. We eat healthy, hearty food, and are happy to accommodate any special dietary preferences you have. There is always copious amounts of chocolate in our fridge! The town of Cambridge is ten minutes away, and is known as the ‘home of trees and champions’; with many of New Zealand’s Olympic athletes living locally. Our home is half an hour from Hamilton City, Rotorua/Taupo/Raglan/the Mount are only an hour away, and Auckland is two hours away. We are a warm, loving family, and are very relaxed, with no drama or conflict (apart from the inevitable guidance required to help these juvenile humans grow and lgain their place in the world). We want to find someone that will have fun with us and enjoy our lifestyle as we live in an amazing spot. We have welcomed many au pairs into our home over the past few years, and they have been brilliant – we can give you their contact details if you would like to hear their take on our family and the job. There have also been a few backpacker couples stay with us that can vouch for us too. Ideally, we would like to welcome into our family someone who enjoys being outside, an animal lover with a warm heart and a genuine fondness for children. Although looking after children is a big responsibility, we are passionate about helping our boys grow to become their best selves, and look forward to sharing our relaxed, open-minded way of parenting and lifestyle with you. If Information technology may suit you better to do three months initially as you have other committments later on, then that is grand too - we are happy to be super-flexible for the right person. Please get in touch with us (Sally & Phil) on 021) 537 887 – look forward to hearing from you. Skills:
