We create theatre productions, develop performing artists and producers, and we are in the middle of developing a new performing arts venue for use by the wider performing arts sector and community groups. We are seeking for a performing arts producer to join our team. You will be responsible for producing new theatre works that take innovative M?ori Theatre to audiences in T?maki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau and you'll also produce a series of workshops that offer opportunities to the Auckland theatre sector to develop their performing arts practice. We're looking for an practiced Producer to hit the ground running, so you'll need the following; » Minimum 2 years' producing/programming practice in the development and delivery of live performing arts event » Evidence of excellent relationship management expertise with a range of stakeholders » Excellent communicator (both verbal and written) and Advanced MS Office user » practiced in development and management of budgets in performing arts » practice in marketing and audience development for performing arts events » practice with Kaupapa M?ori arts projects » Comfort with Te Reo M?ori » knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi You'll be an ideas and people person and consistently produce creative ways of supporting kaupapa M?ori. You'll be professionally engaged with the arts community with existing industry relationships; you'll know artists and designers to call when collaborating on projects. We're looking for someone who's committed, collaborative, takes a hands-on approach and also has a sense of humour!
