About our group and team
Te Mahau-Te Tai Raro
Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, skills and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential.
We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people.
About this function
this function will give you the opportunity to work in partnership with sector leaders and communities to support them to achieve prosperous educational results for all students. You must be able to influence others and be able to back this up with knowledge, skills and practice in improving student engagement and achievement.
You will also offer:
   » the capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga
   » knowledge and knowledge of the New Zealand education system and significant legislation
   » an knowledge of the relationship between policy intent and the range and combination of tools available for implementing new initiatives.
You’ll be joining a high-performing and responsive team that works across a wide variety of initiatives and programmes. The environment is supportive and can be fast paced. You may need to juggle competing priorities and urgent timeframes.
