Reducing the incidence and severity of injuries for M?ori is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve M?ori results every day. ACC is increasing its investment in M?ori focussed injury avoidance activities together with implementing an ambitious Injury avoidance Strategy.
The M?ori Injury avoidance team focuses on taking a Kaupapa M?ori approach to implement Wh?ia Te Tika via injury avoidance initiatives. In this function you will lead and coordinate the design and delivery of investments within a M?ori Injury avoidance portfolio that will better deliver on wh?nau M?ori needs.
Some of the important mahi you will be involved in the following:
   » Leading and managing project and team members to plan, design and implement a M?ori injury avoidance portfolio work programme that is aligned to Mokopuna Ora, our M?ori results framework
   » Building strong internal relationships to coordinate Injury avoidance-wide improvements in culturally appropriate and effective programmes
   » Working in partnership with wh?nau, hap?, iwi and M?ori providers and communities to design and deliver a range of programmes for M?ori wh?nau
As the prosperous M?ori Injury avoidance Leader, you will be required to demonstrate the following:
   » Energetic, motivated and carry an agile and innovative mind-set
   » Courageous leadership abilities practice, either direct people leadership abilities or leadership abilities of project teams
   » practiced in M?ori health and social service design, implementation, and delivery
   » Confident in your knowledge of te reo M?ori and tikanga with a deep knowledge of Maori culture, values alongside strong iwi networks
   » An excellent communicator with strong relationship management expertise across a wide variety of stakeholders, gaining their trust and respect
