Offer: Creative Director:Creative Director Auckland PrideJob description:Job DescriptionAs Auckland Pride Festivals continue to expand, our organisation needs to do the same. The biggest area for growth is with our arts and creative communities, to ensure that we're meeting their needs as we continue towards our goal of being home of the queer arts in T?maki Makaurau.The Creative Director will have high-level responsibility of the creative elements across Auckland Pride's Major Events and the Festival itself, through programming and directing the Gala, the creative production of the March and Party, along wider curation of the Festival – ensuring all artforms and rainbow demographics are represented within the Festival Programme. The Creative Director will have a strong relationship with rainbow communities, queer artists, and key venues. They will work with queer artists in the Festival Programme and assist with creative production, advice, and guidance. They will also manage the artist(s) in Residence programme, working with and supporting the artist(s) all over their residency. Key goals for the function are to: » Strengthen Auckland Pride as the home of the queer arts in T?maki Makaurau » Produce, curate, direct, and deliver the Pride Gala » Creative production and programming for the Pride March and Party » Curate and supervise the Festival Programme, ensuring diverse representation » Strengthen existing and create new relationships with artists, venues, and stakeholders We’re looking for an practiced and passionate individual, with practice in Creative Direction and Production in the performing arts. They'll have relationships with Aotearoa's queer artists, venues, stakehodlers, and key organisations. They'll have practice with, in, or managing a program similar to an artist in residency program. They'll also have practice in arts organisations, festivals, or other significant transferable functions within the arts. We're also looking for a strong practice of tikanga M?ori and knowledge of Te Ao M?ori worldviews, along with a deep knowledge of the practices and intersectionalities of rainbow communities, and an knowledge of, and alignment with our kaupapa. this function is a significant opportunity to influence and shape the future of Auckland Pride. As our second permanent function, it's an exciting time to join our organisation. You will play a vital function in supporting the queer creative arts in T?maki Makaurau, and directing and producing two key creative events for our rainbow communities. Auckland Pride provides a flexible working environment with access to shared office space in Wynyard Quarter. We will provide opportunities for professional development and future opportunities to expand the capacity of the function to full time, and grow the initiatives you develop.
